Notes
'Serene Satin' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Serene Satin') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, bright pink double flowers are fragrant and have many petals. They sit well above the foliage, with one bud per stem. John and Dot McFarlane bred it, and it first bloomed in 1991.
Pairs well with Siberian iris, Pink Impression tulip, and Ostrich fern.
