Notes

'Setting Sun' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Setting Sun') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single flowers are a brilliant crimson. Their bold color stands out in a border and brightens a vase indoors. Pfeiffer Nursery bred it.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Obedient plant, Phantom panicle hydrangea, and Foxtail barley.
