Notes

'Shade Fanfare' hosta (Hosta 'Shade Fanfare') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and spreads 18 to 24 inches. Lavender, fragrant flowers appear from early to late summer and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with White phlox, Sorbet peony, and Autumn crocus.
