Notes

'Shanty' rose (Rosa 'Shanty') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant orange-red blooms open from early to late summer against dark green leaves. Bees visit the flowers. Rosen Tantau introduced it.

Pairs well with Bridal wreath spiraea, Blue fescue, and The President clematis.
