Notes

'Sharona' montbretia (Crocosmia 'Sharona') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Coral-red, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer on stems 30 to 36 inches tall, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. You can cut a few stems for a vase.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and Bloodgood Japanese maple.
