Notes
'Shepherd' bloody geranium (Geranium sanguineum 'Shepherd') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Sedge, PowWow White coneflower, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Big Daddy hosta.
