Notes

'Shin-kagura' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Shin-kagura') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tree peonies have woody stems that stay above ground through winter, so you can leave them standing instead of cutting them back. Plant it where its blooms can stand out in a mixed bed.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Korean spice viburnum, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Pink Impression tulip.
