Notes

Shining rose (Rosa nitida) is a shrub for borders and low maintenance gardens, and it also works as a ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It bears fragrant pink flowers in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Burnet, and Japanese barberry.
