Notes

Shining willow (Salix lasiandra) is a shrub for hedges and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It can reach about 10 to 30 feet tall, so give it room. Butterflies and birds visit it, and it tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Abbotswood shrubby cinquefoil, Techny American arborvitae, Red fescue, and Drumstick primrose.
