Notes

Shore pine (Pinus contorta) is a tree for low maintenance landscapes, woodland gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy or loamy soil. It grows quickly and has a crooked, windswept, dense habit with dark-green needles. The bark is red-brown and scaly, and it tolerates salt spray and high winds.

Pairs well with Buffalo grass, Blue wild indigo, and Bracken.
