Notes
'Showstopper' peony (Paeonia 'Showstopper') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, spicy red double flowers face upward and reach 6 to 8 inches across. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Goldsturm black-eyed Susan.
