Notes

Showy Persian onion (Allium rosenbachianum) is a bulb for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms in early to late spring, and the fragrant flowers attract butterflies and bees. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The plant is drought tolerant and grows 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Anise hyssop, and Yarrow.
