Notes
Siberian chives (Allium nutans) is an herb for borders, low-maintenance beds, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and draw butterflies and bees. Plants grow 12 to 24 inches tall and about 12 inches wide. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Thai basil, Green bean, and Stepping Out iris.
