Notes

'Stepping Out' iris (Iris 'Stepping Out') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Lupine, Meadow rue, and Mont Blanc ornamental onion.
