Notes
'Silver and Gold' red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Silver and Gold') is a shrub for borders, hedges, winter interest, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and forms an erect shrub up to 84 inches tall. White flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Black chokeberry, Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, and Royal fern.
