Notes

'Silver Cup' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Silver Cup') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Kelway bred it in 1909. It has single, large, blush pink flowers that open early. The plant has a medium, spreading habit, so give it room.

Pairs well with Bellwort, Black Parrot tulip, Sensitive fern, and Spanish bluebell.
