Notes
'Sinbad' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sinbad') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, semi-double blooms are deep mulberry with silvery edges on the petals. They open late on tall, stiff stems. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1941.
Pairs well with Bellwort, Foxtail barley, Carlton daffodil, and Sensitive fern.
