Notes

'Sixteen Candles' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sixteen Candles') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, light pink flowers are semi-double to double and measure about 6½ inches wide. Each stem carries one bud and has good strength. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and the plant stays near 25 inches tall.

Pairs well with White trillium, Ostrich fern, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Sedge.
