Notes
Smith Opus 1 peony (Paeonia 'Smith Opus 1 (Misaka)') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant semi-double flowers are yellow flushed with pink, with dark red flares. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms, and side buds extend the show for up to 2 ½ weeks.
Pairs well with Blue-eyed grass, Lamb’s ear, and Lily.
