Notes
'Snippet Lime' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Snippet Lime') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, accents, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching form stays 12 to 24 inches tall and grows at a moderate pace. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and it draws butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Lily.
