Notes

'Snow Bound' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Snow Bound') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large white single blooms have green carpels tipped white. The stems are stiff, so the flowers stand up well. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Switchgrass, and Japanese spirea.
