Notes

'Erica' astilbe (Astilbe rosea 'Erica') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, shade gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Pink blooms rise above brown and copper foliage and attract butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The clumping plant reaches 30 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Cinnamon fern, Christmas fern, and Endless Summer hydrangea.
