Notes

'Snowmound' spirea (Spiraea nipponica 'Snowmound') is a shrub for borders and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. Its arching branches reach 24 to 48 inches tall and wide, and it grows at a rapid pace. Blooms open from spring into early summer and attract butterflies. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Alexander Fleming peony, and Black Hero tulip.
