Notes
'Some-ganoko' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Some-ganoko') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, fragrant flowers open in mid to late spring. They have dark crimson outer petals and a flat center of crinkled, light buff petals with rose-red markings. The plant grows about 2 feet tall and has ruffled, dark green leaves.
Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Immortality iris, and Grape hyacinth.
