Notes

'Sonoma Sun' peony (Paeonia 'Sonoma Sun') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant yellow flowers have rose-pink flares and open rosy yellow before turning clear yellow on the second day. Irene Tolomeo bred it. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Spiked speedwell, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Christmas fern.
