Notes

'Southern Cross' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Southern Cross') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. White blooms with dark burgundy flares open in early summer on plants about 39 to 47 inches tall. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Inkberry, Blue fescue, and Cinnamon fern.
