Notes
'Souvenir d’Etienne Mechin' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Souvenir d’Etienne Mechin') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Cut stems make a showy indoor arrangement. Give it a spot where the woody stems can stay in place from year to year.
Pairs well with Wide Brim hosta, Japanese spirea, and Stargazer lily.
