Notes

'Souvenir d' d lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Souvenir d') is a shrub for cottage gardens, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring with fragrant flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Phantom panicle hydrangea, David garden phlox, Black Parrot tulip, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
