Notes

'Sparkling Diamond' peony (Paeonia 'Sparkling Diamond') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant blooms have a cream base with pink tinges, and bees and butterflies visit them. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with June hosta, Phantom panicle hydrangea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carlton daffodil.
