Notes

'Spellbound' peony (Paeonia 'Spellbound') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring, and its light yellow petals have a reddish tinge that gives an orange look. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Jeana garden phlox, Elegans hosta, Blue fescue, and Nelly Moser clematis.
