Notes

'Spice Islands' rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus 'Spice Islands') is a shrub for borders, containers, hedges, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, loamy soil. Dark blue flowers appear in spring and summer, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The evergreen leaves are fragrant.

Pairs well with Indian-hawthorn, Mexican petunia, Italian cypress, and Mondo grass.
