Notes
'Spinning Wheel' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Spinning Wheel') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep pink flowers have a yellow center and open in early summer. This compact plant holds its blooms well above the foliage. Grant B. Babcock bred it.
Pairs well with Brown-eyed Susan, Siberian squill, and Foxtail barley.
