Notes
'Spirit of Silvanus' peony (Paeonia 'Spirit of Silvanus') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink semi-double flowers have frilled, darker guard petals, and the upright plants need no support. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Spiked speedwell, Empress Wu hosta, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
