Notes
'Spring Beauty' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Spring Beauty') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The bright rose-pink blooms are full double to semi-double, with a large cushion of golden stamens. Strong stems hold up the flowers, and the side blooms give a long period of bloom. It flowers early in spring.
Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Sensitive fern, and Brown-eyed Susan.
