Notes

'Squaw' spotted beebalm (Monarda didyma 'Squaw') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It forms a clump and has fragrant flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Plant it where you can enjoy the visitors.

Pairs well with Diane culver’s root, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Blue Paradise garden phlox, and Waltraut sneezeweed.
