Notes

'Starblast Chiffon' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Starblast Chiffon') is a shrub for hedges and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows at a rapid rate with an erect habit. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Serviceberry, American holly, Garlic chives, and Virginia spiderwort.
