Notes
'Starlight Gaze' peony (Paeonia 'Starlight Gaze') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Yellow flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Derek Irvine bred this peony, and it was introduced in 2001.
Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Mock orange, Niobe clematis, and Buffalo grass.
