Notes

'Stricta' Chinese juniper (Juniperus chinensis 'Stricta') is a shrub for borders, specimens, hedges, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. It grows in a tall, narrow cone shape at a moderate rate. The evergreen foliage stays green all year, and the plant tolerates drought and salt. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Lady of Shalott rose, and Buffalo grass.
