'Sui-bijin' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Sui-bijin') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Yokohama Nurseries introduced it in 1927. Cut stems of the blooms can bring the garden indoors.
