Notes

'Sumi-Nagashi' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Sumi-Nagashi') is a tree for specimen, accent, container, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a broad tree, tolerates drought, and draws bees and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Green Carpet Japanese pachysandra, Spring snowflake, and Alpine hair grass.
