Notes

'Sunday Cherry' celosia (Celosia argentea 'Sunday Cherry') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and accents. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows fast and stays 3 to 5 inches tall, with erect plumes in red, pink, and green. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with California Giants zinnia, Blackfoot daisy, and Hyacinth bean.
