Notes
'Sunglow' montbretia (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora 'Sunglow') is a bulb with large, lily shaped flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Yellow blooms open on wiry stems from early to late summer. Hummingbirds and bees visit the flowers, and the sword-like leaves add a spiky, upright texture. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Peony, and Autumn fern.
