Notes
'Sunningdale Variegated' greater masterwort (Astrantia major 'Sunningdale Variegated') is a perennial for naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet soil. Young leaves open with gold and creamy yellow variegation, which is strongest in part sun. The foliage slowly turns green, and by summer masses of creamy white flowers with a tinge of pink rise above it.
Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Sedge, and Tickseed.
