Notes

'Sunny Girl' peony (Paeonia 'Sunny Girl') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, full double yellow blooms open in spring and attract butterflies and bees. Chris Laning bred it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Woodland phlox, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
