Notes

'Sunrising' peony (Paeonia 'Sunrising') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The semi-double yellow blooms are flushed red, open from early to late spring, and attract butterflies. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with May Night salvia, September Charm anemone, and Ostrich fern.
