Notes
'Sunset' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Sunset') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and it draws butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It also tolerates salt.
Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Obsidian coral bells, and Stargazer lily.
