Notes

'Superba' lilac (Syringa pubescens 'Superba') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a dense shrub with pink, fragrant blooms that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer. Give it plenty of room to spread.

Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Little bluestem, and Lungwort.
