Notes
'Surugu' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Surugu') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Millet & Son bred it in 1907. The compact plant holds its Japanese type flowers well above the dark foliage. The medium blooms open in mid season.
Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Sedge, and African marigold.
