Notes

'Susie Smith' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Susie Smith') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type flowers are a light pink with a straw colored center of petaloids. The stigmas are tipped pink and fade to match the petaloids. William Brown bred it.

Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, Prairie Sun rudbeckia, and Sedge.
