Notes

'Swan Lake' spirea (Spiraea trilobata 'Swan Lake') is a shrub for borders and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It forms a dense mound that stays under about 48 inches tall, and blooms in early to late spring attract butterflies. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Once settled in, it tolerates drought.
